TeliaSonera Takes $110 Million from US Citizens
Sweden and Finland Support Expropriation
Business and political leaders in Finland
confronted a tough problem a few years
ago. A US-focused team delivered exceptional opportunities and
great value before promised incentive schemes were in place.
Finland’s leaders feared a firestorm of public criticism if they
retroactively granted our successful Sonera U.S. team the
promised stake, the small share, of the results we produced. So
they made up an excuse to “throw us under the bus;” and did so.
Then Finland’s leaders approved retroactively
priced US-style
incentive schemes for three other internationally focused
business units. Later, Swedish Telia merged with Sonera form to
TeliaSonera. Today, TeliaSonera, Sweden, and Finland all support
the earlier decision to “throw us under the bus.”
TeliaSonera, Sweden and Finland all refuse to
talk to us under-the-bus outcasts. TeliaSonera has said that
dismissal of a few of our legal claims justifies its decisions
and actions. Click on
Documents for more information
concerning those legal claims and TeliaSonera’s decisions,
actions and governance system failures.
Yet, the problem remains. Two trusted Nordic countries support
the expropriation of now more than $110 million earned by US
citizens working in the United States. Our trusted Nordic
partners chose to ignore international agreements. Our trusted
Nordic partners chose to ignore constitutional bans on
discrimination and expropriation of property. Our trusted Nordic
partners chose to ignore the moral values and high ethical
standards they claim to stand for.
As members of the ORGANISATION FOR ECONOMIC CO-OPERATION AND
DEVELOPMENT, Sweden and Finland agreed to urge companies to
treat employees working in a foreign country
fairly on a level playing field
defined by employment practices in the foreign country.
Accordingly, our
trusted Nordic partners do not have the right to drag the $1.8
billion gains from of our work in the United States behind their
borders and Nordic-centric policies to expropriate monies earned
by US citizens. Our trusted Nordic Partners do not have a legal,
moral or ethical right to impose a “choke
collar” of
Nordic-centric values and “Political Correctness” on US citizens
working in the United States. Our trusted Nordic Partners do not
have a legal, moral or ethical right to discriminate against US
Citizens working in the United States.
TeliaSonera, Sweden and Finland each have a
long history of succeeding through honest business competition
as well as a reputation for acting honestly, honorably and
ethically. They are widely viewed as competent, honest and fully
committed to high ethical standards. Yet even in the best of
organizations sometimes things go wrong. In those situations all
parties need to find ways to respect each other’s interests and
point of view while honestly and fairly fixing the problem.
We look forward to being a part of that process.
