Walking The Talk

TeliaSonera and the Governments of Sweden and Finland all claim to support full transparency and accountability. Following is a summary and comparison of their commitments or “Talk” with their actions or how they are “Walking the Talk.”

Commitments - “The Talk”

Actions -“Walking the Talk”

OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises - “Observe standards of employment and industrial relations [including compensation and working time arrangements] not less favorable than those observed by employers in the host country.” ”The state of Sweden is committed to the OECD guidelines and, as the major owner of TeliaSonera, conducts an annual audit/review of how TeliaSonera complies with the guidelines.” Source: TeliaSonera Summary CSR Report 2006.

The state of Sweden has repeatedly refused to provide a copy of its annual audit/review.

Swedish Instrument of Government, Chapter 2, Article 18 – “The property of every citizen shall be so guaranteed that none may be compelled by expropriation or other such disposition to surrender property to the public institutions or to a private subject …” TeliaSonera and the Governments of Sweden and Finland seek to seize our team’s earnings by switching us from participation in the great harvest, the great value we created to participation in a worthless harvest.

Our Nordic partners claim the full benefits of our leadership and hard work within the milieu of the US marketplace, policies and practices

Our Nordic partners seek to impose the adverse impact of their delays, mistakes and restrictive Nordic compensation policies and practices on our successful team.

TeliaSonera’s “Shared Values”
  • “Add Value”
  • “Show Respect”
  • “Make it Happen”
TeliaSonera realized great value from our support of its Shared Values as we created opportunities and gains in the United States. We “Made it Happen.”

TeliaSonera refuses to show any respect or support for our team, our families, our contributions or the marketplace and citizens of the United States.

The Governments of Sweden and Finland support TeliaSonera’s actions.

TeliaSonera’s Code of Ethics

  • “Do the right thing. “Treat others as we would like to be treated ourselves.”
  • “Ethical behavior and our shared values – “Add Value”, “Show Respect”, and “Make it Happen” – have to be cornerstones in our company’s corporate culture. “
  • “None of us should ever lie, cheat, trick, misuse, mislead, or do anything that can be perceived as any of these.”
  • “Don’t take unfair advantage of anyone through manipulation, concealment, misuse of information, misrepresentation of facts, or any other unfair or dishonest way of acting.”
  • “Being truthful, trustworthy, honest, open, candid, and considerate are the right things to do.”
  • “And when things still go wrong – because sometimes they do, for all of us – stand up and admit it. In this way, you will earn respect and we can all help fix the problem.”
  • “And if you ever come across anything in our company that doesn’t seem to comply with [our Code of Ethics] blow the whistle.”
